Roanoke Earns Second Win Against Conference Rival Lynchburg
LYNCHBURG, Va. -- The Maroons won their second match of the year against conference-rival Lynchburg, 8-1. The Maroons improve to 2-2 overall, 2-1 in the ODAC play. The Hornets fall to 4-5 on the season, 2-3 in the ODAC.

In #1 singles, Jon Roy (Greensboro, NC, Grimsley) cruised past Brandon Brown, 6-0, 6-1 as he improved to 3-1 on the season. Alex Lyons (Topsfield, MA, St. Johns Prep) triumphed Derek Kegerreis, 6-2, 6-2 to earn his first win of the season in the #2 slot. Chris Migliarese (Roanoke, VA, Hidden Valley) slipped by Brian Nelson, 7-6, 8-6, 5-7, in three sets in #4 singles as brother Greg Migliarese (Roanoke, VA, Hidden Valley) also earned a match win by beating Cody Crampton 6-1, 6-3 in the #5 slot. Matt Osman (Roseland, NJ, West Essex Regional) routed Raine Sydnor 6-1, 6-1 in #6 singles.

Roy and Lyons defeated Kegerreis and Jim Rochow, 8-2 in #1 singles. This gives the duo their first win of the spring as Roy is 4-0 in doubles matches. Charlie Graves (South Hamilton, MA, Hamilton Wenham Regional) and Chris Migliarese earned a victory in match play against Brown and Crampton, 8-4 in #2 slot for the first win on the season as partners. Greg Migliarese and Osman easily defeated Nelson and Sydnor, 8-3 to secure another win for the Maroons in #3 doubles.

The men's next match is on March 29 against Washington & Lee at the Elizabeth Campus Courts. The time is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
