Maroons Down Virginia Wesleyan 6-3 In ODAC Action
LYNCHBURG, Va. - Men's tennis defeated Virginia Wesleyan College 6-3 Saturday morning in ODAC action. The Maroons improved to 4-3 overall, 4-2 in conference, while the VWC Marlin's dropped 3-5 in the ODAC and 3-9 on the season.

Jon Roy (Greensboro, NC, Grimsley) improved to 5-1 on the season after dominating the court in a 6-3, 7-5 win over VWC's Zak Bartley, securing his #1 spot in singles. James Lee (Radnor, PA, Radnor), sitting in the #2 slot,prevailedover Sky Masand with a 7-6, 6-2 final, while #3 Alex Lyons (Topsfield, MA, St. Johns Prep) shut down Steven Bond with a 6-1, 6-2 victory.

Charlie Graves (South Hamilton, MA, Hamilton Wenham Regional) fell to Marlin's Ryan Sadinski with a score of 6-1, 6-2, in the #4 slot. Greg Migliarese (Roanoke, VA, Hidden Valley) (#5 singles) rebounded for the Maroon's with a match win of 6-1, 6-3 and Greg Migliares (#6 singles) contributed with a 6-0, 6-3 win over opponent Donnie Greathouse.

Doubles pair, Royand Lee captured the only Maroon win over opponents Bartley and Bond with a score of 8-2, while Lyon and C. Migliares (#2 doubles) slipped in an 8-2 loss to Marlin's Masand and Sadinski. Graves and G. Migliares (#3 doubles) also fell short in an 8-6 loss to VWC'S Griffin and Greathouse.

The men will host Bridgewater College (4/7) on the Elizabeth Campus Courts. The match is to be played at 4:00 p.m.
