Jon Roy Takes home Second-Team VaSID College Division All-State in Men's Tennis
Junior Jon Roy (Greensboro, NC, Grimsley) garnered Second-Team Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) College Division All-State honors announced today. It's the second time in his career to earn this accolade.

Roy made Second-Team #1 singles and First-Team #1 doubles All-ODAC honors in May. He finished 7-5 overall in singles, going 5-3 in conference play. Roy, who earned first-team all-state honors last season, was named second-team all-state as a freshman in 2009 to make him a three-time VaSID All-State selection in his career.

In #1 doubles with teammate James Lee, the duo finished the season with an 8-2 mark, including a stellar 6-1 record in conference play. Roy ups his career win-loss singles total to 27-11 in three seasons with the Maroons.

The men finished the spring with a 6-6 record, 6-2 in ODAC matches. They were 4-2 on the road this year and won four of their last six games of the regular season. They claimed a #4 seed in the ODAC Tournament, but fell to Emory & Henry in the conference quarterfinals.
