Ian Webster (Fredricksburg, VA, James Monroe) was the only Maroon to record a victory on Wednesday, and Roanoke fell on the road to Guilford, 8-1. The loss drops the Maroons to 1-6 on the season, while the Quakers improved to 5-5, earning their second ODAC win of the season.

In number three singles, Charlie Graves (South Hamilton, MA, Hamilton Wenham Regional) battled Clayton Hamilton in the second set before falling 6-2, 7-5. Chris Migliarese (Roanoke, VA, Hidden Valley) worked Mark Cheong, forcing a tiebreaker in the first set, but falling 7-5, 6-4.

The Maroons were unable to close the gap in doubles play falling in number one and number three doubles with an 8-6 score. James Lee (Radnor, PA, Radnor) and Lewis Young (Salisbury, NC, Salisbury High School) combined on the top tandem, while Greg Migliarese (Roanoke, VA, Hidden Valley) and Matt Osman (Roseland, NJ, West Essex Regional) teamed up for the number three match.

Roanoke hosts Hartford Community College on Saturday. Start time is scheduled for 1:00 PM at the Elizabeth Campus Courts.
