Roanoke Falls to Hampden-Sydney, 8-1
On Thursday the Roanoke Maroons fell to the Hampden-Sydney Tigers on the road, 8-1. It is the third straight loss for the Maroons who now sit at 1-3 on the season, 0-3 in ODAC play. The Tigers improved to 2-1 overall and in the conference.

Hampden Sydney captured all six singles matchups, but not without a fight, as four of the six competitions went to a third set. Ian Webster (Fredricksburg, VA, James Monroe) forced a tiebreaker in the third set with Barrett Polan at number six singles, before succumbing, 5-7, 6-0, 7-6 (7-5).

Roanoke's only win of the afternoon came in number two doubles as Chris Migliarese (Roanoke, VA, Hidden Valley) and Greg Migliarese (Roanoke, VA, Hidden Valley) teamed up for the 9-8 victory, claiming the tiebreaker, 7-3.

The Maroons face Lynchburg on Monday at the Elizabeth Campus courts for their next match. The Hornets are 3-5 this season and have lost three straight. Start time is scheduled for 4:00 PM.
