The Roanoke Maroons defeated the Lynchburg Hornets on Monday in men's tennis action, 8-1. The win is the second of the season for Roanoke, as the Maroons improve to 2-8, while the Hornets fall to 3-8.

Roanoke claimed five of the six singles matchups, only falling in the number two position. James Lee (Radnor, PA, Radnor) in the number one spot and Chris Migliarese (Roanoke, VA, Hidden Valley) at number four each halted a three match skid. At number five singles, Ian Webster (Fredricksburg, VA, James Monroe) beat Casey Vines 6-1, 6-0, to improve his record to 3-3, while Matt Osman (Roseland, NJ, West Essex Regional) has won three straight as the Maroons' number six. The senior was victorious on Monday, 6-0, 6-2, over Christian Golden.

Roanoke swept doubles competition by a combined score of 24-9. The closest doubles contest came in the number two slot where Chris and Greg Migliarese (Roanoke, VA, Hidden Valley) were paired. They defeated their counterparts 8-4.

The men will host the Captains of Christopher Newport at the Elizabeth Campus Courts. Start time is scheduled for 9:00 AM.
