Three Maroons named to 2013 Men's Tennis All-ODAC Team

Three Maroons named to 2013 Men's Tennis All-ODAC Team
FOREST - Three Roanoke men's tennis players were honored in the 2013 Men's Tennis All-ODAC Teams, announced Thursday. Senior James Lee was named All-ODAC Second Team, Junior Ian Webster earned Third Team honors, and freshman Matthew Kessler and Lee earned the Third Team Doubles nod.

James Lee, a Radnor, PA native, picks up his second All-ODAC award after being named First Team All-ODAC in 2011. Lee had an outstanding 2013 season, playing 17 matches to a 13-3 record. He was 7-3 in ODAC competition and held a 12-1 mark in #2 singles. Lee was named ODAC Player of the Week on April 8th after going 3-0 in the week in singles action. From March 3rd to April 10th, Lee won 10 consecutive singles matches, and was 7-3 in doubles action. Lee and doubles partner Matthew Kessler were named to the All-ODAC Third team for their performance as well. The pair went 10-7 overall in 2013 and were 6-4 against ODAC opponents.

Ian Webster, a junior from Fredricksburg, VA, earned Third Team All-ODAC honors for playing in the #5 singles position. At #5, Webster finished the season with an 11-2 mark. Overall in 2013, he played 17 matches with a 12-4 record. Against conference opponents, Webster tallied a mark of 7-3.
