Roanoke Splits Pair of Tennis Matches Over The Weekend
The Roanoke College men's tennis team split a pair of matches over the weekend, defeating Randolph College 5-2, but fell to Randolph-Macon 7-2. The Maroons now have a record of 5-5, with a 1-5 mark in the ODAC.

Roanoke picked up its first Old Dominion Athletic Conference win of the season on Friday night with a victory over Randolph College. The Maroons swept the doubles portion of the match. The team of Joey Koss and Matt Kessler defeated Daniil Lyalko and Doug Corbett, 8-5 in #1 singles. In the #2 spot, Chris Miglarese and Jacob Morris topped JT von Seggern and Q Manglapus 8-4. Finally, Nolan Webb and Chris Teeple defeated Zach Dales and Dan Phung 8-5 in #3 doubles.

In singles action, Ross topped Lyalko 2-6; 6-4; 14-12 in a three set thriller to win at #1 singles. Morris bested Corbett 3-6, 7-6, 7-2 in another three set match for the win at #3 singles. With after winning the fifth match of the day, the Maroons took the victory over the WildCats.

The Maroons just won two of their matches in the contest Saturday against Randolph-Macon, as they fell 7-2. The team of Chris Miglarese and Jacob Morris were victorious at #2 doubles, defeating John Adam and Brantley Stein by the score of 8-5. Roanoke's second win of the day came at the #1 singles match, where Joey Ross won in three sets over Ryan Byrd 5-7, 6-4, 6-3.

The Maroons return to action on April 9th as they take on Emory & Henry at the Elizabeth Campus Court. That match is scheduled for a 4:00 PM start.
