Men's Tennis Takes Washington & Lee To Limit, Falls 5-4
SALEM – The Roanoke College men's tennis team battled Washington and Lee to a tough 5-4 loss on Saturday afternoon.  The Maroons now have a record of 6-7, 2-4 in the ODAC, while the Generals are 12-5, 10-0 in the ODAC.

Roanoke pushed Washington & Lee to the limit on Saturday, as the Generals are #37 in the nation and eighth in the ITA Atlantic South region.

Jacob Morris and Matt Kessler topped Will Bannister and Jordan Krasner 8-5 in the #1 doubles position.  Joey Ross and Jose Alvarado fell to Joe Siami and Ethan Markman, 8-6 in the #2 spot.  Matt Delgreco and Holden Branham were topped by Michael Holt and Sam Borowsky 8-2 at #3 doubles.

Roanoke's top three singles spots took Washington & Lee to three sets, winning two of the matches.  Joey Ross fell at #1 singles to Jordan Krasner, 1-6, 7-5, 3-6.  Matt Kessler took a win at #2 singles over Will Bannister 6-3, 4-6, 6-3.  Jacob Morris also won at #3 singles over Ethan Markman, 7-5, 2-6, 6-4.  Matt Delgreco kept the wins coming for Roanoke in a 6-3, 6-2 victory over Joe Siami at #4 singles.  However, the Generals picked up wins at #5 and #6 singles for the overall victory.  Timothy Calame took Sam Borowsky to three sets 0-6, 6-3, 3-6 at #6 singles, but eventually fell in the third set.

The Maroons return to action on Monday, April 6th at 4:00 PM against Emory & Henry, on the road.
