Men's Tennis Edged by Randolph College, 5-4 on Friday
LYNCHBURG - The Roanoke College men's tennis team fell to Randolph College 5-4 on Friday evening.  The Maroons now have a record of 6-6, 2-3 in the ODAC.
 
Randolph got the best of Roanoke College in the doubles competition, winning two of the three matches.  Jacob Morris and Matt Kessler won 8-5 in #1 doubles over Schiano-Moriello and Lyalko.  Joey Ross and Jose Alverado fell in #2 doubles 8-5 to JT von Seggern and Trevor Johnson.  Matt Del Greco and Hodlen Branham also fell 8-5 in #3 doubles to Bradley Strober and Doug Corbett.
 
Joey Ross evened the contest up with a quick 6-1, 6-3 win over Strober at #1 singles.  Kessler fell to von Seggern 6-4, 6-3 in #2 singles.  Jacob Morris won in three sets in #3 singles over Lyalko, 6-2, 7-5, 10-3.  Matt Del Greco fell in #4 singles in three sets, 2-6, 7-6, 4-10.  Jose Alverado set the match at 4-4 after winning 6-0, 7-5 at #6 singles.  But the final match of the contest, #5 singles, went in favor of Doug Corbett and Randolph College, 6-2, 6-3.
 
The Maroons return to action on Saturday, April 4th as they play host to Washington & Lee at the Elizabeth Campus Courts.  That contest is scheduled for a 1:00 PM start.
