The Basics
Event: 2022 Vertklasse Meeting
Location: High Point, N.C.

The Lead: The Roanoke College men's and women's track teams traveled to the campus of High Point University's and participated in the 2022 Vertklasse Meeting. In a highly competitive field comprised of mainly NCAA Division I & II teams the Maroons would go on to post several top eight finishes.

Women's Highlights:

  • Lily Lippert finished second in the Women's 400m hurdles with personal best time of 1:05.66. That time puts her first in the ODAC and currently ranked 22 in DIII.
  • Cammi Winston posted a top eight finish in the Women's High Jump with a fourth-place finish clearing 1.51m (4'11").
  • Mikayla Hefferon (58.80 seconds) and Haylee Gamble (PR 59.24) finish fourth and seventh overall in the 400M Dash. There times currently put them second and third overall in the ODAC Conference.
  • The Women's 4x100m relay team of Savannah Gheen, Hefferon, Taylor Poole, and Eleanor Hinckley posted a season best time of 49.31.

Men's Highlights:

  • Chamberlain Zulauf finished fourth overall in the Men's 10k setting a new personal best time of 31:44.75. That time is currently first in the ODAC.
  • Brady Fowler finished fourth in the Men's 100m Dash with a time of 10.90 seconds. He also finished 3rd in the Men's 200m Dash with personal best time of 21.80 seconds. That time is currently tied for first in the ODAC and ranked 17th in DIII.
  • Samuel Crawford finished fourth in the Men's 200M Dash with a time of 21.86 seconds. He also placed 16th in the 400M Dash invitational section with an ODAC leading time of 49.28 seconds. That time is currently ranked 18th in DIII.
  • Hunter Bohon and Miles Enstrom set personal best times with a fourth and fifth place finish in Men's 400m hurdles. Bohon crossed the line at 59.42 seconds while Enstrom was right behind him with a time of 1:00.73.

Up Next: The Maroons will be back in action on April 15 & 16 at the University of Lynchburg for the Dennis Craddock Coaches Classic.
