FOREST – Junior Stephanie Clark was named ODAC Softball Pitcher of the Week, announced Monday.  She is the first Roanoke softball player to earn the Player of the Week distinction in 2013.
 
Clark, a junior from Nathalle, Va., appeared in three games last week, posting a pair of complete game shutouts along the way. She opened the week with a four-hitter in game-one at Randolph. She worked around five walks with a pair of strikeouts in the 6-0 win. She came back with a 4-0 win at Lynchburg in game one. She gave up seven hits and walked one while striking out three. She also recorded the last two LC outs of the bottom of the sixth in a 4-1 game two loss. For the season, Clark is 12-1 with a save and a 2.12 earned run average in 79-1 innings of work. She leads the ODAC with six shutouts and is fourth with 12 complete games.
 
The Maroons return to action on Tuesday, April 16^th as they travel to take on Ferrum College.  That contest is scheduled for a 5:30 PM start.
