WEDNESDAY NIGHT (April 1st), the Roanoke College softball team will host Old Dominion Athletic Conference opponent, Randolph College at 5:00 PM at the Moyer Complex. The event is a "Pack The House" event, which means we want to fill the stands with the Roanoke College faithful to show support to our team.

Come out to watch the softball team who currently has a record of 10-10, 5-3 in the ODAC. The Maroons have won five of their last seven games, including victories over Lynchburg, Eastern Mennonite, Emory & Henry and Sweet Briar. During that span, the Maroons have outscored their opponents 48-17. Freshman Katie Smith leads the team in hitting with a .520 batting average (3^rd in the ODAC), with a team-high 26 hits, 12 runs and nine RBIs. Senior Rhea Schleicher and freshman Taylor Carter are second on the team in hits with 19 each, both belting two home runs over the fence. Carter has also scored a team-high 19 runs with eight RBIs, two triples and 18 stolen bases (2^nd in the ODAC). In the circle, Kelly Higbie has picked up five of the team's 10 wins, pitching 70.0 innings and has struck out 43 batters. Freshman Ruthie Williams has pitched 51.2 innings with a 3.93 ERA. Williams has struck out 20 batters this season.

Randolph College currently sits eighth in the ODAC, holding a record of 11-11, 4-6 in the ODAC. The WildCats have lost three of their last four games, falling to Virginia Wesleyan and Randolph-Macon. Randolph is led by Hunter Glave, who is batting .313 with 20 hits. She ranks first in the ODAC in doubles (10), home runs (7) and walks (13). She's also in the top five of the ODAC in slugging (.828) and RBIs (25). In the circle, Randolph's Hannah Winfree is third in the ODAC with six wins. She ranks fifth in the ODAC in strikeouts (45), third in shutouts (2) and third in wins (6).

There will be free meal tickets for Roanoke College students in attendance. Wear your Maroon gear to the game to receive your free food and drinks. We encourage all fans to come and make a ton of noise for the women as they take on Randolph College at 5:00 PM.
