Taylor Carter Garners ODAC Softball Player of the Week Honors
FOREST, Va. - Roanoke College's Taylor Carter has been named the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Softball Player of the Week announced by the league on Monday.

Carter, a sophomore from Roanoke, Va., was perfect from the plate in the Maroons doubleheader sweep (5-2, 10-3) of Southern Virginia. She was 5-for-5 overall with a double, two homers, five runs driven in, and four runs scored. She also walked once and stole three bases. Carter was 3-for-3 in game one with a double and homer. She scored once and stole a base. She then went 2-for-2 with a walk in game two, belting a grand on the way to four RBI and two runs scored. She also stole two bases. Carter's slash line for the week was gaudy 1.000/1.000/2.400. She is currently third in the ODAC with a .500 batting average. Her .532 OBP and .795 slugging percentage each rank sixth. She's third in the league with 22 hits and 10 stolen bases.

The Maroons will take on Guilford in an ODAC doubleheader on Wednesday at 5:00 p.m.
