The Maroons, who are now 51-24 all-time vs. the Wasps, have won their fifth game in the last six meetings. Roanoke has defeated them by at least 30-points in the last three wins in the series.

The first eight minutes of the contest remained close as the Maroons held a tight, 15-11 lead with 12:05 left in the first half. That was when Erin Jenkins sparked a 28-2 run to end the half, connecting on all five of her free-throw attempts to tie a school-record. The Maroons went into the half with a commanding 43-13 lead. The 30-point halftime lead was it tied for the largest margin of the season (Hollins, 49-19 12/6).

In the second half, the Maroon lead reached as high as 40 points, 63-23 as they went on to win and maintained first-place in the ODAC Standings. The Maroons scored 26 points off 19 EHC turnovers and out-rebounded the Wasps, 38-30. Roanoke outscored the EHC bench, 23-16 with Bethany Holland leading that group with eight points.

The Wasps were led by Brittany Rogers with seven points and six assists while Ashlyn Baird chipped in six points.

Roanoke will have the week off before hosting Washington & Lee on Friday, Feb. 20. The Maroons are 27-3 all-time vs. the Generals since 1994-95, but have won only three of the last six meetings. It will be senior night at the Bast Center as the women will honor Marcy Conner, Virginia Anne Hagood and Erin Jenkins prior to tip-off. Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
