Game Notes vs. Washington and Lee - Women's Basketball
The women's basketball team will take on the Generals of Washington and Lee in a pivotal ODAC match-up tonight at 7 p.m. at the Bast Center.
 
Series Information
The Maroons are currently 30-4 all-time against the Generals since the series opened in 1994. Since 2006, Washington and Lee have gone 4-5 against Roanoke.  The Maroons are riding a three-game series win-streak.
 
About the Maroons
Roanoke is currently 11-5 overall, 10-2 in the ODAC. At home, the women are 5-1 at the Bast Center. Of their five losses this season, all have come against teams with at least 15 wins or more and a combined record of 83-13. Four of the five teams have either been ranked or have received votes in the top-25.
 
Nicci Moats is ranked fifth in the ODAC in scoring (16 ppg), first in rebounding (10.9 rpg), first in blocked shots (50) and seventh in field goal percentage (47.8%). She is ranked 17th nationally in blocks per game, 37th in rebounding and 44th in double-doubles.
 
Jordan Gholson is ranked 24th in the country in field goal percentage (57%) and first in the ODAC in that category. Her 22 blocked shots are fifth in the conference while her 76.7% free-throw percentage is 10th in the ODAC.
 
Scouting the Generals
Washington and Lee are 6-1 over their last seven games and enter tonight's game with a 13-5 record, 9-4 in the ODAC. While the Generals are 10-2 at home, they are 3-3 on the road this season.
 
Star post player Becca Bolton was tabbed ODAC Player of the Week honors Jan. 24 for her back-to-back 20-point performances. She is second on the team in scoring (13.3 ppg) and rebounding (6.9 rpg). Meg Ingram has carried the Generals on her back this season, leading the women in scoring (16.2 ppg), steals (36), assists (91), free-throw percentage (81.3%) and three-pointers made (43).
