Moats earned her fifth-straight double-double with a 15-point, 15-rebound performance in addition to three steals. She has now earned 25 career double-doubles, including six this season.
Roanoke shot 44% (22-50) from the floor and out-rebounded Randolph, 45-33, as the Maroons didn't trail in the contest. The defense held the WildCats to just 28.1% (16-57) on the night.
Up only six at the half, the Maroons clung to a slim three-point lead early in the second stanza with 18:43 remaining. Two layups by Moats and a three-pointer by Rachel Dellehunt spread the game open, 34-24 at the 16:30 mark.
The WildCats cut it to within seven with just over 14-minutes left, but the Maroons answered back with a 21-9 run to take a game-high 19-point lead with 1:09 remaining to seal the win.
Bonnie Bishop led Randolph with 11 points and five rebounds. Courtney Bouchard had seven counters followed by Chelsea Tyler with six in addition to six rebounds and three steals.
Laurel Hankins and Taylor Duggins poured in 11 points each to provide the offensive spark with Moats. Duggins added five rebounds and three assists. Cappy Sullenberger had a season-best seven points and three rebounds, shooting 3-of-4 from the floor.
The women will return home on Saturday, Jan. 28 to host Guilford College in ODAC action. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m. at the Bast Center.
