ODAC Tournament Game Notes vs. Eastern Mennonite
Roanoke College meets up with Eastern Mennonite this evening at 6 PM in the opening round of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Championships.  This matchup between the #7 seed Maroons against the #2 seed Royals will be the third meeting this 2011-12 season, where EMU won the first two match ups.

In the last meeting on Feburary fourth, EMU got the best of Roanoke, defeating them 45-44 ().  Stephanie Rheinheimer led the team with 14 points while Kala Yoders followed with 10.  Laurel Hankins led the Maroons with 13 points while Paxton Gwin netted 11.

Previewing Eastern Mennonite:  In the three weeks since these two teams have faced each other EMU has had two players named ODAC Player of the Week.  Stephanie Rheinheimer earned the honor on Feb. 6th and Bianca Ygarza garnered the award on Feb. 20th.  EMU is coming off a victory over Guilford, 68-56, where Ygarza came off the bench to score 19 points after going 8-for-12 from the field.  Rheinheimer is ranked third in the ODAC in 3-pt. percentage (40.1%)

Previewing Roanoke:  The Maroons continue their streak of being in every ODAC Tournament after defeating Va. Wesleyan 63-58 on Saturday.  Paxton Gwin led the Maroons with 25 points and nine rebounds.  Laurel Hankins ranks fourth in the ODAC in 3-pt. percentage, hitting 35.8% of her shots.  The Maroons faced off against the Royals twice before this season, and only lost to EMU by one point in the last matchup on February 4th.
