Roanoke Hosts First Round of 2013 ODAC Women's Basketball Tournament
SALEM - The Roanoke women's basketball team hosts the opening round of the 2013 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Tournament on Monday, February 18th at 7:00 PM.  The Maroons, who are the #7 seed in the tournament, will play the #10 seeded Yellow Jackets of Randolph-Macon College in the Bast Center.
 
The Maroons played Randolph-Macon earlier this season on February 2nd, defeating the Yellow Jackets 100-82 ().  The total of 100 points by the Maroons ranked as the fourth most points scored by the women's basketball team in school history. Paxton Gwin led the team with 23 points, while five other Maroons finished in double figures.
 
Gwin ranks third in the ODAC in total points (401), fourth in points per game (16.0) and second in total field goals made (154).  Tatum McKee ranks second amongst all players in the conference in steals with 66, while Rachel Dellehunt is fifth in the ODAC in assists (79).  With a win on Monday night, head coach Susan Dunagan would earn her 599th career victory, and go on to play for win number 600 in the Salem Civic Center on Thursday evening.
 
The winner of Monday's contest will play in the ODAC Quarterfinals against #2 ranked Guilford College in the Salem Civic Center on Thursday, February 21st.  That contest is scheduled for a 6:00 PM start time.

Be sure to come out and pack C. Homer Bast Gymnasium, wear your maroon and cheer the women's basketball team on to a trip to the Salem Civic Center!
