FOREST - Roanoke College women's basketball player, Paxton Gwin, was named ODAC Player of the Week annonuced on Monday. Gwin is the first Maroon to win the honor this season, and the first since she earned the award on February 18th.

Gwin, a senior from Buxton, N.C., helped the Maroons to a pair of wins over the past week, including a conference victory over Hollins (72-56). In that game, Gwin dropped in 16 points on 7-of-13 shooting to go with four rebounds and an assist. She followed that with her second double-double of the season with 21 points and 11 boards in a 68-46 triumph over Stevenson. she was 7-of-8 from the field in that contest, including 2-of-2 from deep, and hit 5-of-6 from the foul line. She added two assists two steals and a block against the Mustangs. Gwin is currently third in the ODAC in scoring at 16.7 points per game.

The Maroons return to action on Saturday, January 11th as they play host to Eastern Mennonite University. That contest is scheduled for a 1:00 PM start.
