Paxton Gwin Named ODAC Player of the Week
FOREST - Paxton Gwin was named ODAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week, announced Monday. This is the second time she has won the award this season, being the first Maroon to win the award twice in the same season since Erin Hanson in 2006-07.

Gwin, a senior from Buxton, N.C., helped the Maroons to a pair of conference road wins on the way to her second weekly award of the season. Gwin notched 21 points on 7-of-14 shooting and 6-of-7 from the foul line to help Roanoke to a 78-66 victory at Emory & Henry. She added eight rebounds in that contest. Gwin recorded another eight boards in addition to 24 points in the Maroons 78-64 win at Bridgewater. She was 9-of-17 from the field and again missed just one shot from the stripe in five tries. For the season, Gwin is third in the ODAC in scoring at 17.7 points per game.

The Maroons return to action on Tuesday, January 21st as they play host to Randolph College. That contest is scheduled for a 7:00 PM start.
