Paxton Gwin, the Buxton, NC native, had an outstanding senior season. She was named 2014 ODAC Women's Basketball Player of the Year. Gwin, a two-time All-ODAC selection, is the first player from Roanoke to earn this award since Erin Hanson in 2007. The three-year starter scored 1,349 points, including 476 in her senior season, to rank sixth all-time on the career scoring list at Roanoke. Gwin, who was named ODAC Player of the Week twice this winter, ranks in the top-10 in nine statistical categories including field goals made (5th - 520), three pointers attempted (7th - 350), and scoring average (9th - 13.0 PPG).
