PACK THE HOUSE - Women's Basketball vs. Lynchburg - Wed. December 3rd at 7:00 PM
WEDNESDAY NIGHT (December 3rd), the Roanoke College women's basketball team will host their Old Dominion Athletic Conference home opener against Lynchburg College at 7:00 PM. The event is a "Pack The House" event, which means we want to fill the stands with the Roanoke College faithful to show support to our team.

Come out to watch the women's basketball team who currently has a record of 4-1, 1-0 in the ODAC. The Maroons got off to a 4-0 start, the best opening to a season since 2009-10. Head Coach Carla Flaherty is in her first season at the helm of the program, and has led the women's team to the best start in five years. This will be her first home game in the Bast Center, so let's give her a huge welcome!

Sophomore Cary Beahm is leading the Maroons in scoring, netting 15.4 points per game, which ranks sixth in the ODAC. She ranks in the top-10 in nine different statistical categories in the conference. Also scoring in double-figures for the Maroons is Tatum McKee, who is averaging 12.8 points per game. She is also tallying 7.2 rebounds per contest, which ranks sixth in the ODAC, while she ranks third in defensive rebounds (36) as well. Kelsey Smith ranks seventh in the ODAC in assists, dishing out 15 so far this season. While she is ninth in the conference in free throw percentage (81.2), Smith is third on the team in scoring, netting 9.8 points per game.

The Maroons are taking on Lynchburg College, who enters the game with a record of 3-2. The Hornets were picked to win the ODAC in the 2014-15 preseason poll. Lynchburg's latest game was against Christopher Newport, falling in the contest 71-56. The Maroons defeated then #18 ranked CNU in the second game of the season, 74-62. The Hornets are led by senior Shannon Allan, who averages 20.2 points per game. Junior Chaney Forbush is the top rebounder for Lynchburg, pulling down nine rebounds per contest.
