Cary Beahm Lands ODAC Player of the Week Honors
FOREST, Va. - Roanoke College's Cary Beahm has been named the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Women's Basketball Player of the Week announced by the league on Monday afternoon.

Beahm, a junior from Dendron, Va., helped the Maroons to a pair of victories at the Susan Dunagan Classic to run their current winning streak to four straight contests. Beahm, who was named the Most Outstanding Player (MOP) of the event, averaged 25.0 points and 9.0 rebounds while shooting 65.6-percent over the two contests. She opened with 22 points on 9-of-16 shooting and 4-of-5 from the line in a 78-58 win over Swarthmore. She added six rebounds, two assists, a steal and a blocked shot.

Beahm followed that with a 12-of-16 showing from the field and 4-of-4 from the stripe towards 28 points in a 73-46 triumph over Wesleyan (Ga.). She registered 12 rebounds -- including four offensive -- for her second double-double of the year. She also handed out three assists and posted a steal and a blocked shot.

For the season, Beahm is fourth in the ODAC in both overall points scored (174) and points per game (19.3). She is second in the league in field goal percentage (70-of-122; 57.4%), having made the third-most field goals.

The Maroons return to action on Wednesday night when they host Shenandoah at 7:00 p.m. in ODAC action.
