The Lead: Even scoring throughout the Maroon's lineup and timely defense leads to a 70-54 ODAC Victory over Hollins.

How it Happened:

• Cary Beahm led the Maroons in scoring and also grabbed nine boards on the day. Allison Yeaw and Ellen Wagner had 12 and 10 points, respectively, and joined her in double-figures.
• Anna carter led Roanoke in assists with seven and also added six points and six rebounds.
• Hollins had four players in double-figures and were led by Jewellanna Parfitt who had 17 points and seven rebounds.
• RC shot 49.2% from the field on 32-of-65 shots attempted and assisted on 23 of those 32 made baskets. The Maroons also forced 14 steals and had 17 points off turnovers.
• Roanoke outscored Hollins 25-13 in the second period to steadily separate the scoring margin to earn a 41-25 lead.
• The Maroons forced five turnovers in the third period and took a 21 point lead with 1:00 to go in the period on a Yeaw jumper.
• That lead would prove to be good enough to help Roanoke hang on and capture the 70-54 win.
