The Lead: Roanoke used four players in double figures and a key 15-0 first-half run as the Maroons topped Randolph 75-56 on Tuesday night in Lynchburg in ODAC Women's Hoops actions.

How it Happened
  • Cary Beahm led RC with 18 points to go along with 10 rebounds. Bridget Holleran had 13 points to go along with nine assists and five rebounds. Kelsey Smith had 12 points, six assists and four rebounds, while Ellen Wagner had 11 points on 5-of-6 shooting.
  • RC shot 45.6% for the game, making 31-of-68 shots from the floor. Roanoke held Randolph to just 31.5% shooting, allowing the WildCats to make just 21-of-73 attempts from the field.
  • Randolph was led by Brie Holdren who had 16 points and Rebecca Harvey who finished with 11.
  • A Wagner jumper just over 2:30 into the game put RC up 8-0 to start and would lead to a 20-11 Maroon advantage after the first period.
  • The teams exchanged baskets to open the second period before a Beahm bucket sparked a 15-0 run that helped RC to a 37-15 lead at the intermission.
  • The Roanoke advantage would extend to as many as 28 in the second-half when Holleran knocked down a jumper to make it 45-18 with 5:37 to go in the third period.
