Cary Beahm Named CoSIDA Academic All-Districtâ?¢
SALEM, Va. - Roanoke College's Cary Beahm has been named to the 2015-16 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-Districtâ„¢ Women's Basketball Team. With her selection to the All-District team, she is now eligible for CoSIDA Academic All-America honors.

Beahm is a junior and is majoring in both criminal justice and sociology, minoring in psychology and has earned a 3.96 grade point average since arriving on the Roanoke campus. Beahm is the first RC Women's Hoops player to earn All-District honors since Amy Athey in 1997.

On the court, Beahm ranks second in the ODAC in scoring at 19.6 points per game. Her 8.2 rebounds per game is fifth and her 59.5 FG% is tops in the ODAC and ranks top-10 nationally in Division III. Beahm's 86.5 FT% is second best in the ODAC, while her 14 blocks is 11th most in the league. Beahm has scored in double-figures in all 21 games and has six double-doubles. Dating back to last season, Beahm has scored in double-digits in 40 of the Maroons last 42 games.

Academic All-District™ honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® Team ballot, where first-, second- and third-team All-America honorees will be selected later this month.
