The Lead: The Roanoke College Women's Basketball team set a school record for most points in a game en route to a 106-27 victory over Mary Baldwin on Friday in Salem.

How it Happened
  • The 106 points tops the previous school mark of 104 set back in 1994 against Lynchburg. RC's 48 made field goals is the most in school history, topping the previous record of 43 also set in 1994 against Bridgewater.
  • Eleven different Maroons scored in the win led by Ellen Wagner who had 17 points on 8-of-11 shooting. Cary Beahm and Allison Yeaw each had 12 points, while Victoria Maxwell and Jamella Foster each finished with 11.
  • RC shot 57.8% for the game, making 48-of-83 shots and won the battle on the glass 62-23 with Beahm grabbing eight rebounds. Foster and Jasmine Agee each had seven boards.
  • With the score 10-7 in favor of the Maroons early, RC would finish the first period with a 29-4 run to lead 39-11 after the first 10 minutes.
  • RC would build on its lead, outscoring MBCC 23-6 in the second stanza, taking a 62-17 lead to the break.
