Minneapolis - Roanoke College's Cary Beahm has been named Third-Team All-South Region by D3hoops.com.

A First-Team All-ODAC selection following the regular season, after she ranked third in the ODAC in scoring at 18.2 points per game. Her 8.2 rebounds per game is seventh and her 59.5 FG% is tops in the ODAC and ranks top-15 nationally in Division III, while her 174 made field goals in the most in the league and ranks 20th best in DIII . Beahm's 87.0 FT% is best in the ODAC and 25th best in Division III. Her 14 blocks is 14th most in the league. Beahm scored in double-figures in 25 of 26 games this season and had six double-doubles.

In the classroom, Beahm was named an Academic All-America Third-Team by the College Sports information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Beahm is a junior and is majoring in both criminal justice and sociology, minoring in psychology and has earned a 3.96 grade point average since arriving on the Roanoke campus.

Players chosen to the D3hoops.com All-Region team are eligible for All-American selection. The men's All-American team will be announced at the end of this week, in conjunction with the Division III men's championships, and the women's will be announced in the week following the Division III women's semifinals.

This is the 15th year D3hoops.com has named an All-Region team and this year's All-America team will be the 19th annual All-Ameircan selections. The D3hoops.com All-American teams, along with those of the respective coaches' associations, are the only ones recognized in the NCAA record book.
