Beahm Named ODAC Hoop's Player of the Week

Forest, Va. -- Roanoke's Cary Beahm has been named the ODAC Player of the Week. 

Beahm, a senior from Dendron, Va., put together a strong week in leading Roanoke to a pair of conference wins. Twice Beahm poured in 23 points as the Maroons earned a 70-54 road win at Randolph and a 75-51 home triumph over Shenandoah. Against the WildCats, Beahm added 15 rebounds (including six offensive) to her 23 points, which included a 9-of-12 showing from the foul line. She added a steal and a blocked shot and didn't turn the ball over. Versus Shenandoah, Beahm came up one board shy of her second double-double with nine boards to go with 23 markers. She was 10-of-13 from the field and 3-of-4 from the charity stripe. For the season, Beahm is third in the ODAC in both scoring (19.3 ppg) and rebounding (9.2 rpg) average. She is #1 in field goals made (166), second in free throws made (108), and third in free throw percentage (85.0%).


Roanoke is on the road Wednesday at Lynchburg. Tip-off is slated for 7:00 p.m.
