Sande Named All-ODAC Second Team

SALEM, Va. – After helping the Roanoke women's basketball team secure the No. 6 seed and a spot in the ODAC Tournament quarterfinals this week, senior Rose Sande has been named to the All-ODAC Second Team. This is the first All-ODAC honor of her career.

Sande finished the regular season playing 24 games making 22 starts. She scored 274 points this season, including making 30 three-pointers and 34-of-44 free throws. Sande grabbed 116 rebounds, dished out 22 assists, took 17 steals, and rejected baskets with seven blocks. She played in 614 minutes, averaging 25.6 minutes per game.

She had a career-high 25 points on two occasions this season against Washington (Md.) and on the road at Eastern Mennonite. She also recorded a double-double in the season-opener at Mary Baldwin with 10 points and 11 rebounds.
