Women's Lacrosse Remains in IWLCA Top-20 Poll

Roanoke women's lacrosse remained at the #20 spot in the IWLCA Top-20 Poll announced this afternoon. The women have at least received votes or have been ranked all season and have been ranked in the poll over the last two weeks.
Other Maroons' opponents in this weeks' poll are #2 Salisbury, #10 Catholic, #13 Washington & Lee, #18 Elizabethtown and #19 St. Mary's. Mary Washington received votes in the poll.
The Maroons (10-4, 6-0 ODAC) are riding a five-game winning-streak and atop the ODAC Standings. The 10 wins equal last year's total with three regular season games left. The six conference wins are the most since the 1999 season.
Roanoke defeated Greensboro, 19-6, Virginia Wesleyan, 11-10 in overtime and Sweet Briar, 17-3 last week. The women have won eight of its last nine games after splitting its first six games of the season.
The women will host Bridgewater this Thursday, April 9 at Kerr Stadium in ODAC action. The Maroons are 27-3-1 in the series against the Eagles, winning the last 24-straight. Game time is set for 5 p.m.
