The IWLCA/Under Armour Div. III Poll has moved Roanoke up three spots to #17 in the nation announced this afternoon. It is the highest ranking the Maroons have received this season after sitting in the #20 spot over the last four weeks. The women have been ranked or received votes in the poll all season.
Other Maroon opponents this season in the poll are #1 Salisbury, #11 Catholic, #16 Elizabethtown and #20 Washington & Lee. Mary Washington and St. Mary's (MD) received votes in the poll. The Maroons are currently 3-4 against Top-20 teams this season.
Roanoke is currently 15-4 on the season and completed ODAC play with an 8-0 mark for the first time since 1999. The 15 wins are the most since 1990 and tied for the third most in a single-season. They captured the ODAC Championship, dethroning the six-time defending champions, Washington & Lee for their 10th conference title and the first since 1999.
The Maroons will await their opponent this Sunday during the Men's and Women's Div. II-III National Tournament Selection Show at 10 p.m.
