Maroons Cruise To 21-7 Victory over Eagles on Tuesday
SALEM - The Roanoke College women's lacrosse team rolled over Bridgewater College, 21-7 on Tuesday night in Old Dominion Athletic Conference action. The Maroons now have a record of 3-3, 2-0 in ODAC play, while the Eagles are now 1-5, 0-1 ODAC.

The Maroons jumped out to an early 5-0 lead, as five different players found the back of the net. Bridgewater got their first goal at the 17:28 mark, as Carli Bafford scored to pull within four. The Maroons went on another run, this time 7-0, as Kathleen Wager scored three, Jamie Golden scored two, and Darragh Evarts and Morgan Conroy had one apiece. Roanoke had a 12-1 lead with 8:37 to play in the first half. Roanoke and Bridgewater traded a pair of goals through the remainder of the half as Roanoke had a 14-3 lead after the first 30 minutes of play.

Bridgwater got the jump on Roanoke in the second half, as Bafford scored her third goal of the game to bring Bridgewater within 10, 14-4. Golden and Evarts each scored another goal over the next three minutes to bring Roanoke back to a 12 point lead, 16-4. Through the remainder of the contest, Roanoke outscored Bridgewater 5-3, as the Maroons now go 2-0 in ODAC play with a 21-7 win over the Eagles.

Kathleen Wager and Jamie Golden led the Maroons in scoring with six goals each, while finishing with one assist apiece as well. They were followed in scoring by Allison Bonanno, who finished with four goals and a game high six assists. Lauren Curtin picked up the victory, playing the entire first half, and tallying six saves.

The Eagles' Carli Bafford topped the team in scoring with five goals. She was followed by Katie Freeman and Jordyn Hutchins with one goal each. Laura Reynolds was tabbed with the loss as she made nine saves and saw 30 shots.

The Maroons return to action on Thursday, March 21st as they play host to Rowan in Kerr Stadium. That contest is slated for a 4:00 PM start.
