SALEM - Roanoke College sophomore Darragh Evarts was named IWLCA Third Team All-American, announced Thursday. Evarts is the first Roanoke College All-American selection since Gina Valles won the award three times from 2009-2011.

Evarts, a sophomore from Goldens Bridge, NY, picks up her first IWLCA All-American honor for her performance in 2013. Evarts was also awarded with an IWLCA All-Chesapeake Region nod, as well as her second First Team All-ODAC award. The 2012 ODAC Rookie of the Year ranked second on the Maroons in total points with 88. She led the Maroons in scoring with 71 goals, a mark that placed her third in the ODAC, just one goal shy of second. She finished the season with 104 draw controls, giving her 165 in two years, ranking third all-time at Roanoke. She also finished the season with a team-high five game winning goals and 40 ground balls, and 22 caused turnovers.

Evarts finished seven of the team's 17 games with at least five goals and seven or more points. She scored a career-high eight goals and nine points in Roanoke's 23-12 win over Randolph College on April 20^th.
