Women's Lacrosse Wins over Misericordia 19-9 on Thursday
PUERTO RICO – The Roanoke College women's lacrosse team defeated Misericorida University 19-9 on Thursday afternoon.  The Maroons now have a record of 2-2, while the Cougars are now 1-2 on the season.
 
With today's win, Roanoke College head coach Mary Schwartz is just one win away from earning her 100th career victory.  Schwartz is already the winningest coach in Roanoke women's lacrosse history with her 99 wins.
 
Allison Bonanno tied for a team high on the day with six goals, going along with two assists.  She also won five draw controls.  Darragh Evarts also finished with six goals and a team high four assists.  She also led the team with 10 draw controls.  Claire Feeney followed with four goals off of 10 shots while dishing out one assist.  Morgan Conroy tallied two goals and two assists on the afternoon, both goals coming on free position shots.  Carley Sturges and Courtney McCartin each finished with one goal each.
 
Lauren Curtin and Allison Shannon both split time in goal, with Curtin finishing with eight saves.  Shannon tallied three saves in goal for the contest.
 
The Maroons return to action on Saturday, March 8th as they travel to Fredericksburg to take on Mary Washington.  That contest is scheduled for a 2:00 PM start.
