Evarts and Feeney named to VaSID All-State Team
Darragh Evarts and Claire Feeney have been named to the VaSID All-State Second Team announced Thursday. This is Evarts' fourth time being named to a VaSID All-State Team, receiving the honor in 2012 and 2013 (second team) and she was named to the first team in 2014, thus completing her four-year sweep of the honor. Feeney picks up the All-State honor for the second time in her career, and was named to the VaSID All-State First Team in 2014.

Darragh Evarts – Senior – Midfield

The senior captain from Goldens Bridge, NY also picked up her third-consecutive All-Chesapeake First Team nod this season. She also collected First Team All-ODAC honors all four years at Roanoke College. She is the program's all-time leader in career draw controls (337), ranks second all-time in shots on goal (336), and third in points (310), goals (231), free position goals (46) and shots (423). Evarts finished the 2015 season with a team-best 46 draw controls and was among the top-10 in the ODAC in goals (9th – 36), assists (7th – 18) and points (7th – 54). She was also named ODAC Player of the Week (4/6) earlier in the season where she posted 15 points, 10 draw controls, six ground balls and four caused turnovers, which included a hat-trick against Guilford that week.

Claire Feeney – Junior – Attack

Feeney, from Old Greenwich, CT also picked up her second-consecutive All-Chesapeake Region award, receiving first team honors a year ago. She also garnered her second straight All-ODAC First Team honor this spring as well. In her second year with the Maroons, The junior finished the 2015 season in the top-10 in the ODAC goals (9th – 36), assists (10th – 14) and points (10th – 50). She ended the year with 18 draw controls, 14 ground balls, and eight forced turnovers. She will enter her senior year with 98 career goals and 34 assists, which total 132 total points for her career. Feeney was named ODAC Player of the Week (4/13), the week after Evarts was awarded the honor. During that week she had 14 points, 10 draw controls, six ground balls, and three caused turnovers, which included a five-goal game against Sweet Briar and a six-goal game against Virginia Wesleyan.
