Feeney & Boris Nab First-Team All-State Honors

Lynchburg, Va.  – Roanoke College women's lacrosse standouts Clare Feeney and Emma Boris have each been named first-team all-state by the Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID).  

Feeney's latest honor comes on the heels of her being named the ODAC Player of the Year and First-Team All Chesapeake Region and a Third-Team All-American by the IWLCA.

Feeney led the ODAC in points with 94 which is the ninth highest total in a single season by a Roanoke player. Feeney's 56 goals, 38 assists and 62 draw controls all rank fourth in the ODAC. Her 38 assists is eighth best in the RC record books. Feeney became the 11th Maroon to earn ODAC Player of the Year honors and the first since Gina Valles in 2010.

A First-Team All Chesapeake Region honoree as well, Boris was named First-Team All-ODAC following the season. A freshman defender, Boris made an immediate impact for the Maroons playing in 17 games this season. Boris was second in the ODAC with 34 caused turnovers and also picked up 45 groundballs which was sixth most in the league. She also collected 26 draw controls.
