SALEM, Va. – The Roanoke College Women's Lacrosse team took a break from finals last week to spread some holiday cheer around the Roanoke Valley.

The Maroons partnered with Angel Tree Ministries and Straight Street in Roanoke to provide a special holiday for a family in need. Each member of the team bought, wrapped then a group delivered the presents to the family last Wednesday.

In addition to the work for the holidays, the team did the same for a three-year old boy who was celebrating birthday last week as well. The group dropped off presents and balloon to the young man at his home.

No strangers to community service, RC Women's Lacrosse also works with Habitat for Humanity, the Rescue Mission and are on the wait list to sponsor a team IMPACT child.
