The Lead: Lynchburg scored with just under two minutes remaining to spoil a furious Roanoke rally and top the Maroons 11-10 on Wednesday night.

How it Happened
- Allison Beames and Courtney McCartin scored in the opening the minutes of the game to give RC an early 2-0 lead.
- After LC tied the game at 2-2, Claire Feeney scored back-to-back goals in less than two minutes to put RC out in front 4-2 with 18 minutes to go in the half.
- LC rallied again to tie the game at 4-4 before Feeney struck with 3:08 left to put RC back in front 5-4.
- A Maddie Koontz would knot the game at 5-5 with 55 seconds to go in the half.
- A Nicole Zelnik strike made it 6-5 less than two minutes into the second-half but LC would go on a 5-1 run taking a 10-7 lead on a Haley Lochren goal with nine minutes to play.
- Zelnik rallied RC scoring three goals in three minutes, the last of which tying the game at 10-10 with four minutes to play.
- Laura Meisner scored with 1:50 to play and the LC defense held the lead to secure the win.
- Zelnik finished with four goals and Feeney had three. Victoria Smith had seven saves, while Emma Blair had five key saves in the second-half to give RC a chance to rally.
 
 Up Next: Roanoke will head to Virginia Wesleyan for a 2:00 p.m. game on Saturday.
