The Lead: Courtney McCartin tied for the second most points in Roanoke Women's Lacrosse single game history with 14 (6g, 8a) as the Maroons won 17-5 win over Virginia Wesleyan.

How it Happened
- Joining McCartin in the scoring column was Claire Feeney who had five points on two goals and three assists. Katie Clements and Nicole Zelnik both had three goals, while McKenna Polak had two goals and Allison Beames added one.
- On the defensive end, Emma Boris had seven groundballs and caused four turnovers, Lainey Decker caused four turnovers and three draw controls, while Victoria Smith and Emma Blair each made three stops in net for RC.
- RC outshot VWC 36-20, led in groundballs 17-9 and draw controls 14-10.
- With the score tied a 1-1 a Clements goals setup up by McCartin at the 24:34 mark made it 2-1 and sparked 12 unanswered goals by the Maroons with McCartin scoring four times and assisting on four other goals.
- RC led 13-2 at halftime and then came out and got back-to-back goals by Zelnik to push it to 15-2, while McCartin scored with just under 25 minutes left in the game to push the lead to 16-2.
- Megan Schallock led VWC with three goals.
