The Lead: Claire Feeney had five goals and Nicole Zelnik added four as Roanoke topped Bridgewater 15-8 in ODAC Women's Lacrosse play on Saturday.

How it Happened

• Zelnik scored back-to-back goals to open the game and give RC a 2-0 lead with just under 24 minutes to play in opening half.
• With RC leading 4-2, BC went on a 4-1 run and took a 6-5 lead on a Kristen Stark goal with 4:05 to go in the half.
• Feeney responded with a goal less than a minute later to tie it then Catherine Pace and Zelnik scored to end the half to send RC to the break leading 8-6.
• Zelnik opened the second-half scoring 2:31 in followed by a pair of Feeney goals to make it 11-6 with 19:26 to play in the game.
• BC cut it to 12-8 with 11:28 to play but Pace, Katie Clements and Allison Beames scored to close the game out for RC.
• Victoria Smith played the first 45 minutes in net and made four saves, while Emma Blair made three stops in 15 minutes of action.
• Feeney (5g, 1a) and Zelnik (4g, 2a) each had six points on the day while Clements, Pace and Courtney McCartin each had two points.
