Blair, Foster Named All State

Lilly Blair and Emerson Foster were named VaSID All State

The Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) announced the 2021 Women's Lacrosse All State teams on Thursday afternoon. Roanoke midfielders Lilly Blair and Emerson Foster were honored by the organization.

Blair was named to the 1st team as a midfielder after a season that saw the junior post a team high 50 goals to go with 10 assists, 38 draw controls, 21 ground balls, and 11 caused turnovers. Blair ranked third in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) in goals and sixth in total points on her way to being named 1st team all conference. The Salem native was also named 1st team All Chesapeake Region by the IWLCA.

Foster earned a spot as a midfielder on the 2nd team. This season Foster finished the 2021 campaign with 46 goals and nine assists for 55 total points, both ranking in the top 10 in the ODAC. The junior secured a team high 80 draw controls while picking up 27 ground balls and causing 17 turnovers. Foster was named 1st team All ODAC and 2nd team All Chesapeake Region.
