Roanoke Women's Lacrosse Earns Academic Honors From IWLCA

The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) announced their annual academic awards early this week. Roanoke College was one of the 285 schools, across all divisions, to be named Academic Honor Squads while three players earned a spot on the 2021 DIII Academic Honor Roll.

To qualify for this prestigious honor, the women's lacrosse team must have posted a 3.2 or higher team GPA for the academic year. Roanoke College was one of only four old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) institutions to make the list.

Individually, a trio of Maroons were named to the 2021 Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater. Juniors Lilly BlairRiley Chase, and Claire Eisenhart were honored by the IWLCA for their achievements in the classroom.
