SALEM, Va. -- The No. 25 Roanoke women's lacrosse team opened up the 2023 season in style with a 14-4 win over No. 19 Denison thanks in large part to the Maroons' Grace Koutouzis who finished the game with five goals and two assists.

For her efforts she was named the USA Lacrosse Magazine Div. III Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week. She added two ground balls and one caused turnover for good measure. A sophomore, Koutouzis had 19 goals and 10 assists last season and appears well on her way to surpassing both marks this spring.
