SALEM, Va. – After just his second tournament as a Maroon, Roanoke wrestler Morgan Robinson was named the ODAC Light Wrestler of the Week after he claimed the 141 lbs. title at the 2022 Cougar Classic on Sunday. He went a perfect 5-0 on the day to win the title. He won four of his five matches by fall, including the title match.

He opened with a fall over Juton Shifflet of McDaniels in just 31 seconds and followed up with an even quicker pin on Jonathan Ward of Ferrum in 23 seconds.

In the quarterfinals he was up 4-0 when his opponent was forced to stop due to injury at 3:13. In the semifinals he took on teammate Nick Kauffman and earned another fall at 3:34.

The championship match saw him fall Mauricio Reyes at the end of the second period (5:00).
