Salem, VA --- The Roanoke College women's soccer team wrapped up regular season play with an 11-1 win over Randolph College on Oct. 28. The Maroons clinched a #4 seed heading into the ODAC Quarterfinals with a 10-6-2 overall record and an 8-2-1 mark in the ODAC.

Offensive powerhouse Meredith Grunewald has scored 16 goals, tallied 12 assists and scored four game-winners this season. She also tallied 44 points (2.18 per game) to rank among the nations finest in the NCAA Division III statistical rankings in points per game. She is third in single-season goals, needing two to tie the record and is second in single-season assists. She is the school's all-time assist leader with 34 over her career. In the regular season-finale, Grunewald became the third player in Roanoke history to score over 100 points.
Grunewald had a career-night versus Randolph College with three goals and three assists for nine points. Senior Kristen McCoy also had an exceptional night against the Wildcats as she netted two goals to boost her to 50 career goals. McCoy has 10 goals and 21 points on the season.
Keeper Lindsay Kooiman has dominated the net with 62 saves and a record of 10-4-2 this season. She has posted six shutouts and has a save percentage of .785.
The women will host Eastern Mennonite on Nov. 1 in the quarterfinal round of the ODAC tournament. The Maroons defeated the Royals 1-0 in overtime earlier this season. Game time is set for 12:30 p.m.
