Roanoke Women's Soccer Tabbed Fourth in ODAC Pre-Season Poll
FOREST, Va. --- Lynchburg collected nine first place votes on the way to 140 points in the 2010 ODAC Women's Soccer Preseason Poll. Defending ODAC champion Washington and Lee sits second following the annual coaches' survey with 129 poll points and a pair of top nods. Roanoke totaled 105 votes to place fourth in the annual survey.

Senior midfielder Jessica Welfare (Roanoke, VA, Hidden Valley)headlines the 2010 Maroons (12-7, 7-4) squad as she goes in search of a fourth All-ODAC First-Team selection. Welfare, (8g, 2a) a three-time NSCAA All-South Region performer, will again pull the strings from the center of the pitch with midfielder Stephanie Parenteau (Virginia Beach, VA, Kellam)(9g, 2a) and forwards Carmen Graves (Christiansburg, VA, Christiansburg)(5g, 3a) and 2009 All-ODAC selection Rebekah Adams (Springfield, VA, West Springfield)(4g, 2a) working off her. Senior defender McKenzie Garst (Roanoke, VA, Cave Spring)patrols the right wing following a 2009 campaign in which she notched a team-high and ODAC second-best nine assists.
