Women's Tennis Blanks Sweet Briar, 9-0 on Thursday
SALEM - The Roanoke College women's tennis team, who is ranked 18th in the Atlantic South Region, swept Sweet Briar College, 9-0 on Friday. The Maroons now have a record of 7-3, 5-1 in the ODAC while the Vixens are 4-6; 1-4 ODAC.

The Maroons set the pace in doubles, as Corbin Leitch and Laura Dodson won in the #1 position over Glory Bowman and Mary Elise Dugan, 8-1. Kristen McDowell and Haley Goodes won in #2 doubles, 8-4. In the #3 doubles match, Kaity Diskerud and Alexandra Martin defeated Courtney Todd and Yuliya Rigg, 8-1.

Leitch took on the role of #1 singles, where she was victorious over Bowman, 6-0; 6-2. Both Dodson and Marszal won by the score of 6-0; 6-1 in #2 and #6 doubles respectively. McDowell took #3 singles over Merritt-Cuneo, 6-2; 6-2. Goodes played just one set against Byrd at #4, winning 8-1. Diskerud defeated Rigg 6-1; 6-0

The Maroons return to action on April 2nd as they take on Hollins University at home. That contest is scheduled for a 3:30 PM.
