Roanoke Duo Named All Conference

Lucy Collins and Halle Fernstrum earn All ODAC honors

The Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) announced their 2022 All Conference Women's Tennis awards on Thursday afternoon. The Roanoke College tandem of Lucy Collins and Halle Fernstrum were named 2nd team All ODAC at #1 Doubles.

Collins, a senior from Richmond, and Fernstrum, a sophomore from Cary (N.C.), teamed 15 different times this season at the top doubles spot. For the season, the duo compiled an overall record of 10-5, including a 5-3 mark in conference play. The two players helped a Roanoke team that finished the season with a 7-12 record and secured a spot in the 2022 ODAC Women's Tennis Tournament, where the fell to the eventual Champions from Washington and Lee. 2022 was the second consecutive season that the Collins/Fernstrum team played at the #1 doubles spot and made it two-for-two as the duo was named 2nd Team all-conference in both seasons that they teamed together.
